As a material, it has medium hardness and excellent workability, allowing for intricate carving and polishing by artisans. Over time, its light pinkish hue transforms into a deep amber color, exuding a unique elegance and tranquility. This aging process is also one of its charms.

After using the hairpin, please gently wipe the entire piece with a soft, clean cloth. Oils from fingerprints may become noticeable as dirt later, so please wipe them off carefully. Regular maintenance is simple; apply plant oil or beeswax with a cotton cloth.
●Waterproof Treatment
To enhance the wood's waterproof and anti-corrosive properties, two types of coatings are used: a urethane-based resin paint and a penetrating paint. Both are safe paints that comply with food sanitation laws. It is fine if it gets wet in the bath, but please wipe off any moisture after use.
